In ICAR-ATARI, Pune, Zone-VIII, 8504 DFI cases were documented by 78 Krishi Vigyan Kendrs (KVKs) in the state of Maharashtra (47), Gujarat (30) and Goa (1) worked for enhancing farmers' income to achieve the objective of doubling farmers income, a winning combination to not only raise their income but also scale it up to double. A perusal of the success stories where farmers income actually doubled or more than doubled during 2016-17 and 2020-21 indicated that the concerted efforts of the KVKs has really paid off and the overall income of selected farmers has increased during 2020-21.
